A kastélyt igen szép park vette körül. Kitaibel Pál, a neves magyar botanikus már 1799-ben írt a parkról, és az angol Bright orvos 1815-ben a következőket írta: "A várostól fél mérföldnyire sétautakkal tagolt ligethez értünk." Mivel Bright a mohácsi úton utazott, nem vitás, ez az üszögi kastélypark volt. Említi a másik oldalt is, az úgynevezett Kiserdőt, mely a kastéllyal szemben volt. Szépen fenntartott, ápolt kert. Mérete jócskán lecsökkent, de ez nem csökkenti a kertben található különleges növényfajok értékét. Termetes tiszafák (Taxus sp.), hárs (Tilia sp.) és spanyolmeggy (Laurocerasus sp.) található a parkban. A kastélyhoz gesztenye (Aesculus sp.) fasor vezet. |
